  • Put your headphones in pairing mode.
  • Now press the “Home” or “Settings” button from Vizio TV remote, and select the “BlueTooth Headphones” option.

What To Do If Vizio TV Doesn’t Have BlueTooth?

Without a BlueTooth, it’s not possible to Connect BlueTooth headphones with Vizio TV. In such a scenario, you can opt for BlueTooth transmitter devices or an Aux cable (if your headphones have an Aux port).

1- Connecting Wireless Headphones Using BlueTooth Transmitter

using a bluetooth transmitter

The BlueTooth transmitter will convert your non-blueTooth Vizio TV into a blueTooth device and let you easily connect wireless headphones with it.

I use a BlueTooth Transmitter with one of my older LG TV models and have connected home blueTooth speakers. I have a YMOO BlueTooth transmitter with a 3.5mm cable, and it’s too easy to connect to the TV.

Luckily, you don’t need to pay too many bucks for BlueTooth Transmitter, which is only available for 20 or 30 bucks.

Below are the steps to connect Bluetooth headphones with Vizio smart TV using a BlueTooth transmitter.

  • First, connect the Bluetooth transmitter with Vizio. You have to simply plug the 3.5mm cable of BT transmitter into the 3.5mm interface of Vizio smart TV.
  • Make sure that your TV and Bluetooth headphones are both turned on.
  • Now set the headphones to pairing mode.
  • The headphones will automatically search for the BT transmitter and connect with it.

The Bluetooth transmitter captures the audio output from Vizio smart TV via an audio port and sends it to your headphones.

Note:
For a clear and stable audio experience, ensure your Bluetooth headphones are closer to the Vizio TV.

2- Pairing BlueTooth Headphones With Vizio TV Via 3.5mm Aux Cable

using 3.5mm aux cable

Few Bluetooth headphones come with a 3.5mm audio interface; you don’t need a BT transmitter for such headphones.

You can easily connect such headphones to the TV if you have a 3.5mm jack audio cable.

Note: Not every Vizio smart Tv model has a 3.5mm audio port, so if your TV model doesn’t have one, you can use the first method (Bluetooth Transmitter).

Here is the step to connect Bluetooth headphones to a TV using an Aux cable.

  • Locate the 3.5mm interface on your headphone.
  • Grab the 3.5mm aux cable and connect it to your headphones.
  • Now connect the other end of the cable behind the Vizio TV.
  • And you’re good to go.
Note:
You need a long Aux cable to connect with the TV. It’s recommended to go for 10 feet long Aux cable so it can easily reach behind the TV.

Final Words:

If you want to watch your favorite TV shows mid-night without interrupting your partner’s sleep, then you need Bluetooth headphones.

Luckily, if you have a Vizio TV, you can easily connect Bluetooth headphones to it. And if you’re using an older Vizio model without Bluetooth, you can opt for a Bluetooth transmitter.

You can also use an aux cable if your headphone has a 3.5mm Audio interface.
